Northwest Belt is a puveyor of used and surplus new conveyor belting, primarily used in mines for automated material transport. However, the company has identified many uses for their used belting, including mud flaps, equipment covers, noise and dust screens, and industrial room dividers.
For the project with Milano Railway Logistics the large rolls of rubberized belting will become truck dock bumpers to protect vehicles and docks while loading and unloading. Milano manages the inbound trucking service to bring the belting to its Mt. Vernon railyard. Upon arrival it is transloaded to UP and NS rail cars for transport to California and New York, respectively.
