Mt. Vernon, IL — The planned expansion of the Milano Railway facility continues with the recent purchase of 12 acres occupied by an abandoned high school and athletic fields  to the north of Milano’s current rail and recycling operations (Shown in blue on map). In addition, Milano Railway constructed 4000 ft of new 132 lb. track to complete the upgraded interchange between three railroads  serving the property: Union Pacific, Norfolk Southern and Evansville Western.
